We landed and got through Customs and Security at 7am. Our car rental was not ready till 8:30am. We left Glasgow Airport and headed for our first cottage in Leadhills which is about 30 miles south of Hamilton/Glasgow. We arrived at about 10am and found the owners were not expecting us till the afternoon. We waited for almost an hour for them to prepare the cottage (they reimbursed us £20 for waiting). After getting settled we all took a 2 hour nap till 3pm. We then headed for Whitehill to visit with Frank's Aunt Margaret, Uncle Hughie and lots of cousins. We stayed till about 8:30 and stopped at Sainsbury for groceries. Kids made it to bed by midnight as the sun doesn't set till about 10:30 at this time of year. Today was a beautiful sunny day!
